Create Singles Matches

This page explains how users create a singles match in Sportzdom. A singles match includes one self player and one opponent.

Home to Play​

  1. From the Home Page, tap the Play icon in the navigation bar.
  2. The app opens the Play Page.
  3. The Play Page displays Favourite Sports and All Sports.
  4. Select a sport card to reveal actions such as Play, Shop, and Wiki.

Start Match Creation​

  1. Tap Play on the selected sport card.
  2. The app opens the Select Whom to Play page.

Select Player Type​

Choose who the match is for:

ChildOpen the Child Selection page before continuing.

Child Selection​

If Child is selected:

  1. Select an existing child profile.
  2. If no child profiles exist, use Add Children to create a child profile.
  3. Tap Continue to proceed.

Select Match Timing​

The app displays a bottom sheet with two options:

Play NowCreate the match for immediate play.
ScheduleCreate the match for a future date and time.

After selecting an option, tap Continue.

Create Match Page​

The app opens the Create Match page. Select Singles from the category dropdown.

When Singles is selected:

  • The current user is added as Self.
  • The opponent slot becomes available for selection.

Select Opponent​

  1. Tap the Opponent slot or the add icon.
  2. The app opens the Choose Participant page.
  3. Select a player from the list.
  4. Review the player's stats bottom sheet if shown.
  5. Tap Select Opponent.

After selection, the opponent is highlighted and added to the match.

The stats bottom sheet may include:

  • Stats
  • Timeline
  • Follow / Unfollow

Match Setup​

Complete the required match details:

Officials for Scheduled Matches​

For scheduled matches, the app may require officials before enabling the schedule action.

Primary RefereeChoose an official from the list and confirm selection.
Additional RefereeChoose an optional additional referee when required.
ScorerChoose a scorer from the official list.

After selecting the required officials, the related buttons become enabled and the selected officials are highlighted.

Create or Schedule the Match​

Play Now​

  1. Tap Create.
  2. The app processes the request.
  3. A success message confirms the match was created.
  4. The opponent receives a notification.

Schedule​

  1. Select Schedule during the match timing step.
  2. Complete the date, time, opponent, match setup, and required officials.
  3. Tap Schedule.
  4. A success message confirms the match was scheduled.
  5. The opponent and selected officials receive notifications.
